Vienna: a prominent centre for diplomatic institutions. There are more embassies, consulates and other diplomatic and international institutions in Vienna than in practically any other city in the world. Historically this is attributed to the fact that Vienna was always regarded as the “Gateway to the East” and was a hub of great importance during the period in which the “Iron Curtain” existed. Pfeiffer, Klestil & Associates was established in order to use this network and this spectrum of diplomatic facilities and institutions for its work. In particular we assist our clients in establishing honorary consulates and in the search for suitable advisors for diplomatic representative offices. As one of the few experts in this field the work performed by our office is highly regarded as we have specific experience in issues regarding diplomacy and international law, in particular with respect to the Vienna Convention of Diplomatic Relations and the Vienna Conventions of Consular Relations.

We are currently acting on behalf of several well-known democratic countries and organisations with regard to the establishment of honorary consulates and missions throughout the world.
