Private Clients
The world is experiencing a time of growing strain on peacekeeping operations. The use of preventive diplomacy and mediation is the most important option for responding to crises and escalating armed conflicts. Diplomatic representatives can help to establish a more peaceful world and they can promote friendly relations among countries. Pfeiffer, Klestil & Associates supports several states and organizations in order seek and find highly qualified individuals for the diplomatic or consular corps. We support clients to apply for a diplomatic post as honorary foreign representatives in various bilateral and multilateral posts which comprise the diplomatic community of the sending state.
The appointed diplomatic representatives will enjoy several privileges depending on the the post according to the Vienna Convention on diplomatic or consular relations, and according to the Convetion on the privileges and immunities of the United Nations and specialized organisations of the United Nations as well as other bilateral agreements and threaties. Without prejudice to privileges and immunities, it is the duty of all persons enjoying such privileges and immunities to respect the laws and regulations of the receiving State. They also have a duty not to interfere in the internal affairs of that State.
We support several governments to seek consultants and diplomatic representatives and we support countries to establish Honorary Consulates. In addition to that we assist governments to seek member states representatives in order to represent the nation’s interest to the specialized agencies of the United Nations. The states are seeking for representatives with the power, the will, and the moral impetus to promote the nation’s interests in accordance to its own values. The candidate shall introduce a modern approach to international relations, motivated by the national interests as its ultimate purpose.
We can support you with your application for a diplomatic post due to our small, but international diplomatic network including a few countries and important governmental representatives. After the appointment, requests for agrément for new Heads of Mission are submitted to the Chief of Protocol of the receiving state. Such requests may be made in the form of a note or letter from the mission concerned in the capital of the involved country, or from the Foreign Ministry of the sending State. A formal response to a request for agrément can usually be expected within four to six weeks.
